Preference share dividends are prima facie cumulative
"Where preference shares provide for a preferential right in respect of a dividend, the dividend is prima facie cumulative so that the dividend is rolled up and any outstanding unpaid or undeclared dividend becomes payable in priority to a dividend on ordinary shares when distributable profits become available."
