Under ICMA's Climate Transition Finance Handbook, a Use of Proceeds instrument is one aligned with either of:

  • The Green and Social Bond Principles, or
  • The Sustainability Bond Guidelines.


Use of Proceeds instruments are distinguished from General Corporate Purpose instruments.
