Credit Suisse was founded in 1856 in Switzerland and developed into a global investment bank and financial services firm, remaining independent until 2023.
Following the collapse of Credit Suisse in March 2023 it was acquired by UBS in June 2023.
Although it is now part of the UBS Group, it retains the Credit Suisse name.
