United Kingdom Government Investments Ltd was established in 2016 to manage the UK government's investments in financial institutions, among other responsibilities.
UKGI undertakes the responsibilities formerly performed separately by United Kingdom Financial Investments Ltd (UKFI) and the Shareholder Executive (ShEx).
