Abbreviation for the United Kingdom.

The United Kingdom, formally and in full, is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

2. Adjective - qualifier.

Designating that something relates to the UK, for example UK Export Finance or UK GAAP (generally accepted accounting practice).

3. Brexit - European Union (EU) - Regulations - retained EU law.

Designating a domestic UK version of a regulation - for example UK GDPR - originally derived from an EU Regulation, for example the GDPR.

Depending where they do business, organisations may need to comply both the domestic UK version and the EU Regulation.
