A proposed class of bonds to finance 'Belt and Road' developments.
Belt and Road would provide physical infrastructure along major economic corridors within Asia and extending to the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
These corridors are similar to the historic 'Silk Road' trade routes.
Hence the name Silk Road bond.
