The Cross-Industry Committee on Japanese Yen Interest Rate Benchmarks is established to prepare for the permanent cessation of LIBOR.

It aims to identify appropriate successor JPY interest rate benchmarks, identifying challenges, proposing solutions, and developing transition plans.

Japanese Yen (JPY) interest rate benchmarks.

The former Cross-Industry Committee on Japanese Yen Interest Rate Benchmarks was established to prepare for the permanent cessation of LIBOR.

Its aims were to identify appropriate successor JPY interest rate benchmarks, identify challenges, propose solutions, and develop transition plans.


It was reorganised into the Cross-Industry Forum on Interest Rate Benchmarks in March 2022.

It concluded its work under the Cross-Industry Forum on Interest Rate Benchmarks in December 2023.
