1. Self-management and accountability - influencing others - education.
Feedforward aims to extend and enhance the concept of feedback.
Feedforward exchanges are designed to ensure that assessment has a developmental impact on learning.
Feedforward questions include "Where am I going in the longer term?", and "Where next, shorter term?"
It may include reviewing assessable work in progress, to provide guidance for improvement.
2. Artificial intelligence.
A network in which information flows in one direction only, toward a predefined goal.
Contrasted with recurrent networks, in which the results of intermediate layers are added to the inputs for earlier layers.
