(GWP).

GWP is a relative measure of the amount by which a greenhouse gas emission would warm the earth.

The reference is carbon dioxide, CO₂.

By definition, the GWP of carbon dioxide is 1.

The GWPs of all other greenhouse gases are measured on this scale.
