(NACE).

NACE is a four-part classification system for collecting and presenting statistical data according to economic activity in production, employment, national accounts and other contexts.


For example, Central banking is classified as K64.1.1, under:

K = Financial & insurance activities;
K64 = Financial service activities, except insurance & pension funding;
K64.1 = Monetary intermediation; &
K64.1.1 = Central banking.


The abbreviation NACE is derived from Nomenclature statistique des activités économiques dans la Communauté européenne.
