In the context of startup businesses, an incubator is an organisation that supports startup and other early-stage businesses with appropriate resources and access to networks, generally in return for an equity stake in the business.

Examples in the fintech sector include the UK's Centre for Finance, Innovation and Technology, and the Bahrain FinTech Bay.
