Securities - bonds - maturity - callable - non-callable.

NC is an abbreviation for non-callable.

For example, in the bond structure summarised as 60.5NC5.5:

  • 60.5 is the full maturity of the bond, in years.
  • 5.5 is the initial period, in years, during which the bond is non-callable (NC). After this initial period, the issuer can call (redeem) the bond early, before its final maturity.

Different figures would indicate different periods of full maturity, and different periods of non-callability.
