Treasury - corporate finance - listed companies - UK - London Stock Exchange.

A Premium Listing was a former category of listing on the London Stock Exchange.

The former Premium and Standard Listing segments were removed with effect from 28 July 2024, and replaced by a new commercial companies category for equity shares.

The idea of a Premium Listing was that the premium-listed company was expected to meet the very highest standards of regulation and corporate governance, higher than those for other listed companies. The thinking was that, as a consequence, the company might enjoy a lower cost of capital, through greater transparency and through building investor confidence.
