1. Financial promotions - risks - wording.

Risk related information that must be prominently displayed in promotional material for financial products for retail customers.

Examples include:

  • "Your capital is at risk & your losses may exceed your deposits."
  • "Your vehicle may be at risk of repossession if you fail to repay your [vehicle] loan."


2. Credit ratings - other contexts.

Information - prominently displayed - about the reliability of information, risks, or any other matters relevant to a reader.

For example, the suffix "pi" is added to public information credit ratings, as a health warning to indicate that they are based on public information only.


The term Health Warning originated from the risk notices displayed by law on tobacco products (and later or other products such as alcoholic drinks).
