1. ACT competency framework.

Behavioural skills are one of the three groups of treasury skills identified by the ACT's Competency Framework.


In this model, behavioural skills include:

  • Commercial drive and organisation
  • Self management and accountability
  • Influencing skills
  • Working effectively with others


The other two groups of skills identified in the ACT Competency Framework are Technical skills and Business skills.


2.

More broadly, behavioural skills complement technical and analytical skills.

Strong behavioural skills are generally associated with higher levels of emotional intelligence.
