Working effectively with others - career coaching.

Person-centred coaching emphasises the agency of the client, and their ability to make conscious choices.

It assumes that people are naturally motivated to grow, develop, and act autonomously. This motivation is know as the 'actualising' tendency.

Person-centred coaching is particularly suited to career coaching.


Person-centred coaching was formerly known as client-centred coaching, and originated from the therapeutic approaches developed by Carl Rogers in the 1940s and 1950s.
